My ideas for Karma's living space
My ideas for Karma's living space
Okay, I really liked Ima's ideas for Karma's room. But I have a few additional space saving ideas, since the room seems REALLY FREAKIN' SMALL.
Instead of a huge bookcase, why don't you mount shelves to the wall? You can get them for cheap at Home Depot or Ikea.
These aren't the most attractive, but they're only $53 each at Home Depot and they'll get the job done while saving valuable floor space.

You've got to think vertical - tall, skinny furniture instead of wide, low pieces. Ima's loft bed with the sofa underneath is fantastic.
If you don't have room for the two little tables, why not buy one or two tables like this? They slide right up to the couch, and you can eat on them and/or work on the laptop. They're just $12.99 each at Ikea
Again, it's not beautiful, but it's functional
Or, you could buy some folding trays and store them behind the couch when you're not using them.
That's all I got for now. I'll post more if I get any more ideas.

I'll definitely check this stuff out, the mounted shelves are a
great idea.. The only problem is right now I'm working on getting my storage unit cleared out and seeing if I can fit the furniture I already own into this (yes its TINY) room.. I wouldn't want
to buy too much stuff until 1. I'm working full time and 2. I figure out if my furniture fits or I have to give it away. If that makes sense..
Cute idea. Love the shelf on the wall dealie. You can but books on it and candles and what not to make it more artsy.
...but=put
Yeah totally thats a great space saver for a small area.
I liked the shelves on the wall too and the table... I've seen the comercials for those little tables too..
too cute.. love these ideas!!!
I was just at the 'Po (haha, I just made up slang for Home Depot) and they had some really cute open cube shelves. They were deep, so you can put stuff inside and on top too. They have a lot of new shelving options there right now. And Ima's right, Ikea has tons of stuff that is designed especially for living in small spaces. I have a bunch of baskets that stack in my hallway closet that I keep all that random stuff like mismatched sockd, the iron, hats and gloves, things that need mending, etc in. Each one has its own basket. I think they only cost about 2 bucks each.
Maybe it should be the "Ho 'Po." haha
Hahahahaha!
HoPo! I love it! I'm going to start using that!
