UPDATE: I just uploaded all the products listed her in my Fab Finds under "karmasabitch bedroom ideas." Sooo Karma, Here's my vision for your bedroom. If you're not going to end up buying a loft bed, or any other bed, my suggestion is replacing the one you currently have in your room with your daybed.

I LOVE Whip's idea of mounting shelves on the wall to save space too! Another way to save space and have a desk, is to EVENTUALLY get something like this Leaning desk/bookshelf. I have one of these in our tiny condo, and let me tell you, it's perfect for small spaces!

I'd also suggest getting rid of the brown bookshelf, the one to your left as you enter your room. It doesn't go with the rest of the room and with mounted shelves, you won't need it.
